Firstly, on behalf of everyone at Hightek Hosting, we’d like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!

It’s been quite some time since we’ve posted on our blog as we were quite busy coming up to end of year 09 and boy are we glad it’s all over!

2009 was quite a year for us at Hightek Hosting, with us recording almost a 150% on what we grew in 2008 and we’re aiming to top that in 2010!

With 2009 now behind us, we’re going to spend 2010 improving on what already is known as great value, great service and great support with plans to boost things up even more.

Over the next few months, you’ll see more additions, changes, services and features being offered…but we’re not going to give away all the secrets just yet , afterall, you can’t be to careful!

What we will say is that we’ll be covering areas of the industry that are not touched all too often…so stay tuned for more info!

Just like 2009, we’ll have special promotions and savings all thrown into the mix and we’re just about ready to lock and load for a complete re-open of business on January 4, 2010 so keep checking our website, our Twitter and even our announcements page for these!

We’re also looking at new datacentre locations both with Australia and overseas, which will add to our already extensive arsenal of locations and service abilities.

Over coming months, we’ll also be working with a few new providers and wholesalers in the hope of forming new partnerships to allow us to offer an even wider range of hosting and IT service related products, so be sure you really keep in touch with our communication points to ensure you don’t miss out!

Pingdom has recently announced some exiciting news!

They are offering Free Website Monitoring service! No, it’s not a free trial…it’s a completely FREE ACCOUNT!

Now you too can use the same monitoring service Hightek Hosting use on a day-to-day basis.

Just in case you haven’t heard of it, Pingdom is a service that monitors websites and servers from the Internet and alerts you if there is a problem. It acts like a watchdog, making sure that your website is up and running 24/7.

• Tests are performed from multiple locations on the Internet.
