After a number of successful ports, Ace Communications are very excited to formally announce that they are now able to port traditional phone numbers (such as PSTN (landline)/ISDN) into Ace VoIP for business customers.

Below are the key points you need to know about this product:

-       Porting is only available to customers who have an existing or sign-up for a new Ace VoIP Business plan – http://www.acecommunications.com.au/services/ace_voip_business_plans.php.

-       There is no cost to the customer to port their phone number to Ace VoIP other than the cost of an on-going VoIP service for that phone number.

-       A standard port (PSTN/landline) takes approximately 20 working days.

-       Once the port is completed the physical line is disconnected therefore services such as ADSL must not be on the line at the time of ordering the port.

-       There will be a period of downtime when the port takes place which may last up to 4 hours. If VoIP hardware or software configuration is also required the ported telephone number will not be active and operational until this work has been completed.

-       To process an order we require the following documentation be faxed to 1300 304 672:

  • The Ace VoIP Port Authority order form completely filled out including initials on pages 2 and 3 (and these pages must also be faxed back)
  • Copy of existing phone bill showing existing account number from losing carrier and proof of ownership of the number being ported
  • If it is a new service we also require a standard Ace VoIP application to be completed with a note referencing that a number is being ported, a temporary VoIP number can be provided if required until the port is completed

-       We also recommend you review the Ace VoIP Port Authority PDF as it provides in further detail information about porting a number to Ace VoIP.

Are you looking for a way to make massive savings on your phone bills?

Hightek Hosting, combined with Ace Communications, can demonstrate to you the substantial savings on offer with Ace VoIP!

A detailed bill analysis is a great way to prove to you that the savings on offer with Ace VoIP are substantial and very worthwhile taking the time to set-up.

In most cases the report provided to you will show savings of between 40 to 60% which can result in thousands of dollars a year off your phone bill.

A bill analysis organised will provide you with the below information:

-       Summary of all analysed charges

-       Summary of recommended solution

-       Detailed breakdown of recommended solution against current solution including overall cost savings per call type

-       Breakdown on call types allowing customers to fully understand their existing call spend

A bill analysis is provided at no cost. In particular if you are looking to purchase hardware (such as aVoIP PBX or Linksys SPA8000 gateway) where there is a larger upfront commitment, it helps to demonstrate how quick your return on investment will be (and in many cases it even surprises us!).

A bill can be submitted for analysis two ways:

Submission via Email

Email a scanned copy of the bill to sales@hightekhosting.com.au requesting bill analysis, please provide any specific information that we need to be aware of whilst having the bill analysis completed.

Submission via Post

Post a photocopy of your bill to Hightek Hosting Sales Team – PO Box 728, Tumut, NSW, 2720. Once again please provide any specific information that we need to be aware of whilst having the bill analysis completed.

Typically a bill analysis will take between 5-7 working days to complete and once finished you will receive a report in PDF format.

We hope you will take advantage of this service as we are 100% confident it will assist you in making a valuable decision.

We don’t know about you, but like most other Aussies, we hate holding “on the line” to the big name companies around Australia like the big telcos or our own bank.

But now, someone is fighting back and doing it with style!

Sean Riley has clearly shown the fact that “he hates holding” and has created iHateHolding to show this.

His site is targeting these big name companies, allowing users to “name and shame” big name companies who utilise phone systems with either poor customer service, long wait times or simply no service at all!

Users log onto this site to read and post “tips and tricks” on how to navigate and negotiate some of the big name providers and their wonderful voice prompt systems. These tips are designed not only to assist the consumer in obtaining the best and fastest support, but also to show the big guns that consumers talk…and that they need to pull their socks up.

Whilst we’re not ones to completely agree with the naming and shaming of companies etc, I personally agree that consumers deserve the right to know who’s diddling them around and wasting their time, and whos actually going to listen to them when they want to be heard!

Of course, we can’t all be negative, afterall, we use a phone system ourselves, however, we listen to our customers and try to get everything sorted as quickly as possible so each and every customer can “get on with their lives”, so why can’t the big guns do that?

Employ more Australians and stop outsourcing jobs overseas and we might actually be able to get these support issues resolved a bucketload of support.

Let’s only hope these big companies take notice and listen to the requests, demands and feedback of the customers.

The customer is always right (so they say) and they will always get revenge at some point in their lives.

As someone said on news.com.au:

“Quite frankly, they all just need a good kick in the bum”

and someone needs to do it.

Well done Sean. Hopefully you get some good results out of your work.
